Fawn Mountain Elementary school’s third- and fourth-grade, as well as its fifth- and sixth-grade, Battle of the Books teams won the Ketchikan School District’s tournaments on Feb. 20 and 21, then competed in the Alaska state Battle of the Books virtual meet on Feb. 28 and 29.
Students on the third/fourth-grade team were SkyeLynn Evans, Eunchul Jung, Lulu Mercer and Perry Serlin. Students on the fifth/sixth grade team were Anneka Adams, Addisyn Lathrop, Henry Paulson and Paislie Wieler.
