November 20, 2024 – El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office officials report that recently, our Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) has been conducting increased patrols in the Pollock Pines area due to a rise in unsheltered activity. During their patrol, HOT discovered two active camps on commercial properties, both of which were removed at the request of the business owners.
One individual contacted during this operation expressed interest in receiving assistance and was successfully transported to the Navigation Center, where they were welcomed in.
We want to extend a big THANK YOU to the citizens who continue to stay vigilant and report concerns, helping us keep our community safe.
With the change in weather and snow expected in the area, HOT is working hard to ensure those exposed to the elements have access to shelter and warmth at the Navigation Center.
Stay safe, stay warm, and thank you for your continued support!
