SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – The new business center in South Bend International Airport is open to all, just in time for holiday travel!
Celebrated with a ribbon cutting, the airport relocated the old business center to a beautified area with a view.
It’s now in a space where travelers can rest with almost every gate in sight, along with a ramp and runway nearby.
The new area utilizes the natural light from above and has amenities like power outlets at every seat. It’s also accessible to those with disabilities.
“And it actually enables passengers to see what’s going on. So, you can be with your head down, in your laptop, look up and you can see, hey my flight just got to the gate, I still have about 10, 15 minutes,” said Patrick Mac Carthaigh, vice president of operations at South Bend International Airport.
The new location of the business center is part of a larger multi-million-dollar project, with more changes coming soon for SBN.
