SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — There’s a new place for you to work out of when traveling!
South Bend International Airport officials unveiled a new business center Friday.
It’s centrally located, ADA accessible, and has charging stations in every spot.
The center is sponsored by the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union.
This remodel is part of a bigger project to transform gates 4 and 8.
It was paid for using grants from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
“So, in creating this business center, we wanted to take advantage of our beautiful skylight here. It allows so much natural light into the facility and it enables passengers to actually see what’s going on. So you can be with your head down in your laptop, look up, and you can see, hey, my flight just got to the gate. I still have about 10, 15 minutes,” said Patrick Mac Carthaigh, South Bend International Airport Vice President of Operations.
The total project time took around five months.
