Themed “Return to majestic Lai Chau peaks,” the week has a wide range of typical cultural and tourism activities to popularize the land, people and culture of Lai Chau among Da Nang people and visitors as well as connect Lai Chau tourism with Da Nang city and the Central region.
In his opening speech, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Lai Chau provincial People’s Committee Tong Thanh Hai, head of the week’s organizing panel, defining preservation and promotion of fine traditional cultural values of ethnic groups associated with tourism development as a key program of the province in the 2020-2025 term, with the goal of welcoming over 2 million visitors by 2030, Lai Chau has focused leadership, direction on investment, investment attraction and launch of a number of quality tourism products to meet the needs of the high-end tourist market segment.
According to the official, during the Lai Chau week in Da Nang city, the locality’s land, people, potential, and advantages are introduced to the people and visitors in the coastal Central city via numerous attractive activities featuring Lai Chau’s ethnic identity, tourism and OCOP products, local specialties, among others.
“They surely bring impressive experiences to you,” Hai stressed.
After the opening ceremony, an art program, performed by Lai Chau’s artisans, artists, ethnic people, entertained the audience.
The closing ceremony will be held on November 24.
