Maldives tourism industry has grown by 9.2 percent so far this year compared to last year, according to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism
According to the Ministry of Tourism, 1,774,398 (one million seven hundred and seventy-four thousand three hundred and ninety-eight) tourists have arrived in Maldives as of the 20th of this month. This is an increase of 9.2 percent compared to 1,624,965 (one million six hundred twenty-seven thousand nine hundred and fifty-five) arrivals during the same period last year.
The average daily arrivals or the average number of tourists arriving every day this month has increased, according to data released by the Ministry of Tourism. Daily arrivals stood at 5,477 so far this month. Currently, an average of 7.7 tourists visit maldives daily.

According to the ministry, 246,596 tourists have arrived in maldives from China while 198,968 tourists have visited from Russia
