Holywood actor Brad Pitt gave fans and F1 enthusiasts quite a scare after collapsing on set while filming his forthcoming movie.
Per international media reports, the scene involved a dramatic car crash and Pitt was seen stumbling and ultimately collapsing to the ground.
The 59-year-old star who was dressed in full racing gear hobbled away from the crash site after which he collapsed onto a padded mat held by the crew. The development prompted immediate medical evaluation.
Fans nearby managed to capture the footage as Pitt’s team swiftly issued a statement on his health, referring to him by his character’s name.
“During qualifying, Sonny sustained a significant impact requiring immediate medical evaluation. Incidents of this magnitude are always taken seriously, and Sonny’s health remains our top priority.
“While Sonny is otherwise stable, he will not participate in tomorrow’s race as he focuses on recovery.
“The entire team stands behind him, and we’ll provide updates when available. Joshua [Pearce] will race solo tomorrow, carrying the team forward,” the statement said.
Co-produced by F1 legend Lewis Hamilton, the movie also stars notable actors like Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Kerry Condon, Sarah Niles, and Idris Elba.
With Pitt in the lead role, the F1 sports drama is directed by Joseph Kosinski and was shot over the weekends at famous tracks like Silverstone, Hungary, Spa, Monza, Zandvoort, Japan, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi, and Mexico City.
