Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies say the property supervisor shot and killed the burglar as he was making his way back to the living space of the business.
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a property supervisor reportedly shot and killed a burglary suspect overnight.
According to Sgt. Amar Gandhi with the sheriff’s office, it happened around 2 a.m. Sunday along the 10000 block of Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.
Gandhi says a burglar made their way into the building while the supervisor was in the back in a living space. As the alleged burglar approached the living space, the property supervisor shot him.
Robert, the property supervisor, told ABC10 that he was in the back room with his two kids when everything happened. He said he fire after the burglar kicked open the door.
The alleged burglar made his way to the parking lot, collapsed and died.
No arrests have been made at this time. The shooting is under investigation.
