PARKERSBURG — The Blennerhassett Hotel & Spa held a book signing event Saturday to unveil its new Signature Gourmet Cookbook.
The event took place from noon-3 p.m. in the Monroe Boardroom on the second floor of the hotel.
The Blennerhassett Hotel & Spa’s Signature Gourmet Cookbook was announced in early October. Cookbooks are $59.99 plus tax and can be shipped at an additional cost.
Author, and Blennerhassett Hotel Concierge, Adam Dotson said that the book has been a labor of love, taking three-and-a-half years to complete.
“I began writing the hotel’s signature gourmet cookbook back in the spring of 2021,” Dotson said. “The hotel has never had its very own cookbook before, and so I was able to compile together and save over 152 of our best-known recipes from our hotel kitchen’s cookbooks.”
Some of those recipes have been at the hotel for decades and were made famous by previous chefs. All of the recipes in the cookbook have been converted to serve smaller portions for the at home everyday cook.
The 263-page hardbound cookbook includes the history of The Blennerhassett Hotel and each chapter focuses on different culinary groups, such as breakfast and brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts, drinks, and others.
Dotson and other Blennerhassett Hotel & Spa representatives were on hand Saturday to sign books and speak to guests. Light refreshments were served, and additional books were also available for purchase at the event.
Copies also will be sold through the Blennerhassett Hotel front desk and the Hills & Hollows gift shop at the hotel beginning Nov. 23.
