In case you’ve missed it, Glen is one of many celebrities who have recently been the subject of a number of viral lookalike competitions across the country.
Over the weekend, hundreds were in attendance at Auditorium Shores in Glen’s beloved hometown of Austin, Texas to witness a league of Glens compete for the winning spot — a title that was bestowed by none other than Glen’s mom herself.
Eventually, the winner was selected by the actor’s mom and aunt, who were both in attendance. The number one spot went to the crowd favorite: a contestant dressed as Glen’s character Hangman from his breakout feature Top Gun: Maverick.
And while Glen couldn’t attend as he’s currently filming Edgar Wright’s remake of The Running Man overseas, he made sure not to neglect the event and sent the organizers a video message, which they played for the crowd.
Addressing the Glens, the Anyone But You star joked that he had “an important mission” for the contestants. “I wanna pull off a heist. And we don’t need masks because we all have the same face. It’s the perfect crime. They can’t get all of us — because we are one. A criminal Glenterprise,” he said.
And after referencing his own parents’ frequent cameos in his movies, Glen finally announced the competition’s grand prize — a cameo in the next Glen Powell movie.
“I am completely serious. This is a cash-value prize of $6 billion,” he stated.
“Take a pic together for me, enjoy my favorite city in the world. Keep Austin weird, hook ‘em Horns, and see you round… every time I look in the mirror,” Glen said.
Personally, I’m a little disappointed no one brought a capybara. Which celebrity lookalike contest would you love to see next? LMK down below!
