Drivers in Devon are being urged to be careful as roads across the county remain shut due to flooding this morning (Monday, November 25). Storm Bert hit Devon and the South West with a barrage of heavy rain and strong winds over the weekend.
Busy roads such as the A358 in Axminster and the A381 Totnes Road remain shut due to flooding this morning. A number of other routes also remain affected by fallen debris and standing water.
Devon Alert, Devon County Council Highways official alerts page, said in a post on X at 6am: “#Devon Please take extra care when travelling this morning following the severe weather over the weekend. There may be debris, road closures and residual flooding, especially near water courses across the network. Clear up operations will be continuing throughout the day.”
