Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb announced that the tourism sector is supporting 17 major projects in Al-Ahsa, with a total value exceeding SAR 3.5 billion, which will provide more than 1,800 hotel rooms.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister emphasized that these projects aim to enhance the tourism sector, leveraging Al-Ahsa’s exceptional features that position it as a key tourist destination in both the Kingdom and the region.
This announcement was made during his visit to Al-Ahsa, where he met with investors and entrepreneurs to explore the significant investment opportunities available in the tourism sector.
He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing all necessary services and support to help investors enter this promising sector.
Al Khateeb highlighted that Al-Ahsa is one of the Kingdom’s unique tourist destinations and stressed the ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its partnership with the private sector, a key driver of the tourism industry.
He further noted that encouraging investment and offering facilities to investors are top priorities for the ministry.
The minister also pointed out that the Tourism Investment Enablers Programme (TIEP) is a key initiative designed to encourage investors to allocate capital into the sector.
