Lawrence Engineering, a family-owned and run precision engineering and contract manufacturing company, marked 40 years in business with a celebratory Open Day at its Collooney site.
Founded by Michael Lawrence in 1984, the company has grown from a small toolmaking workshop beside the family home to an internationally recognised partner for leading MedTech manufacturers.
The milestone event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the Collooney contract manufacturing facility, which was added to the business during the Covid pandemic and never had an official opening.
Leo Clancy, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, officiated at the ceremony, celebrating the company’s evolution and contributions to the industry.
Now led by James Lawrence, who took over from his father in 2019, Lawrence Engineering continues to innovate and expand its offering.
Key recent milestones include the 2021 launch of a 200m2 Class 8 Cleanroom, the 2023 addition of a temperature controlled Whiteroom and ISO 13485 certification achieved in 2024, underscoring the company’s commitment to quality and precision.
“This milestone reflects decades of dedication to quality and innovation,” said James Lawrence, Managing Director of Lawrence Engineering.
“We are proud of our journey and excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to support the MedTech sector both in Ireland and internationally.”
With a focus on future growth, Lawrence Engineering remains dedicated to supporting the MedTech sector in Ireland and abroad.
