There’s another call for people to be paid extras in a movie that’s filming in Portland, and this time, the focus is on punks. Local company Adam and the Backgrounds is looking for people to play punks, in a movie called “Out Come the Wolves.”
The punk emphasis makes sense, since “Out Come the Wolves” is described in a Hollywood Reporter story as a drama that’s inspired by “the 1995 album of the same name from punk rock band Rancid.”
Here’s the plot description, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter: “Set against the East Bay punk music scene in the mid 1990s, ‘Wolves’ is a story of grit and dreams in a world of violence and desperation.”
The cast features actors Orlando Norman, Spence Moore II, Heidi Grace Engerman and Cassady McClincy Zhang, who “play a tight-knit group of high school friends vying to escape the blighted city in which they live,” as the synopsis says. “Getting away isn’t so easy, however, when the streets are full of metaphorical predators and prophets at every turn and the story, following the teens, will ask who manages to get away and who will be devoured when the wolves come out to hunt.”
“Out Come the Wolves” is directed by Danny Peykoff, and written by Peykoff and Jason and Jamie Neese. The creators’ resumes include such credits as Peykoff acting as an executive producer on “Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner’s movie project, “Horizon: An American Saga.” The Neese brothers are also producers on “Horizon: An American Saga.”
“Out Come the Wolves” is filming in the Portland metro area in December. Anyone interested in being an extra is asked to click this link for more information:

Applicants should fill out the form, and “Be sure to include photos with your best punk look and outfit.”
Everyone may apply, according to Adam and the Backgrounds. If there are any difficulties in connecting in using the link above, applicants are advised to email photos, along with phone and email info, to [email protected].
