On today’s episode of The Roadmap with Lee Heisman, Clint Crowe, Owner and Founder of StormROOF Systems, shares his story of pivoting from event rentals to becoming a leader in the roofing industry. Known for his relentless drive and adaptability, Crowe embodies the qualities of a “super entrepreneur.”
Crowe’s entrepreneurial journey started early. As a homeschooled son of an entrepreneurial father, he was immersed in the world of business from a young age. At just 18, Crowe launched Elite Event Rental, quickly scaling it to over $1 million in annual revenue by his early 20s. With a team of 30 and guidance from Kennesaw State University’s Entrepreneurship Center, Crowe earned accolades, including Entrepreneur of the Year. But as his business grew, so did the challenges. The event rental industry’s high capital demands and operational stress led Crowe to reassess his path.
The turning point came when a conversation with a friend sparked the idea for StormROOF Systems. Crowe saw an opportunity in roofing—an industry with lower capital demands and the potential for rapid scaling. He made the decision to shift focus completely, and within months, StormROOF Systems was selling dozens of jobs and building a strong sales team.
A significant driver of Crowe’s success is his commitment to mentorship and personal growth. Having learned the value of seeking guidance from experienced professionals, he emphasizes the importance of mentorship in his own company. Through his sales training program, young professionals are given the tools to reach six-figure incomes, starting with the basics of door-to-door sales.
In addition to running Stormroof Systems, Crowe co-hosted the HSTL UP podcast, where he celebrated young entrepreneurs and shared his insights on professional growth. The podcast expanded his network and gave him a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial journey.
Now, six years into leading Stormroof Systems, Crowe continues to break industry norms, mentor the next generation, and cultivate a culture of success. His journey is a prime example of how adaptability, hustle, and the willingness to pivot can lead to extraordinary opportunities.
“Seek mentorship as often as possible, but you have to ask for it and you have to look for it.” – Clinte Crowe
