As it continues steadfastly to support institutions that promote culture and society, Lidl Cyprus was Silver Sponsor of the third Limassol International Book Fair, as a Silver Sponsor for the third consecutive year.
The Fair, by now one of Limassol’s leading cultural events, and perhaps the largest “celebration” of the socio-cultural importance of books, took place over November 22-24, 2024, at the Carob Mill venue, drawing hundreds of book lovers and prominent publishers from all over the world.
The Fair began with a full-day conference that included lectures by distinguished publishers, authors and figures from the local and international literary scene, while the supermarket chain’s now-famous mobile canteen, Lidl Vantastic, offered healthy snacks throughout the three-day event.
Following the Day One conference, the programme included the General Exhibition, open to the public, with more than 120 participants from Cyprus and abroad attending to present their works at more than 100 multi-venue events.
Lidl Cyprus invests continuously in activities that enhance the island’s cultural fabric, while promoting social inclusion. The company’s continued support of the Limassol International Book Fair underlines its steadfast commitment to promoting a love of reading and learning, while fostering closer ties between Cypriots and the global community via the written word.
