SPENCER COUNTY — Amy Hoffman is a local author from Santa Claus, Ind. She graduated from Heritage Hills High School and is now a travel nurse. She now owns a house in Boonville that she shares with her two giant German Shepards that she refers to as her babies.
She has been divorced for four years and says that she has been living life. Her book “Broken” is a fiction novel that is based vaguely inspired by her own world. The woman in the book is married to a man that is narcistic and controlling. After her divorce she doesn’t know how to relate to the world anymore. It is her journey of discovering herself and the world again. She is learning to repair damaged friendships and create meaningful friendships along the way. Hoffman does warn that there are soft erotic love scenes in the book.
