Jeremy Allen White had a h-h-hungry heart on the set of the Bruce Springsteen movie “Deliver Me from Nowhere” Tuesday in Bayonne.
As production on the film continues, White, 33, who stars as a younger version of the Boss, was joined by Australian actor Odessa Young, 26, who plays his love interest in the film.
White, the Emmy winner from “The Bear,” and a barefoot Young (”The Staircase,” “The Order”) could be seen kissing in a scene filmed on the street next to a 1980s Chevy Camaro Z28.
A child actor sitting on a toy horse was also a part of the filming, and director Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart,” “The Pale Blue Eye,” “Antlers,” “Black Mass”) was nearby.
“Deliver Me from Nowhere,” which is filming all over Jersey, is about the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album “Nebraska.” The movie is based on the 2023 book “Deliver Me from Nowhere” from Montclair’s Warren Zanes.

Springsteen himself showed up on set earlier this month when the movie filmed in various local spots, including Bayonne.
He signed scripts for members of the cast and crew and greeted White with a big hug in the Hudson County city. On set in Rockaway, Springsteen, 75, embraced English actor Stephen Graham, who plays his father, Douglas “Dutch” Springsteen, in the movie. The Jersey music icon also signed autographs for fans gathered to watch the filming in Rahway (see photo below).
The 20th Century Studios film is scheduled to come to Springsteen’s old haunt, Asbury Park, in December.

On that note, the production, which issued an open casting call in October, is still looking for extras and background actors to play young ’80s concert-goers for scenes that will film Dec. 9 to 13 and Dec. 16 in Asbury Park.

The title of “Deliver Me from Nowhere” and Zanes’ book is from “State Trooper,” one of the songs on “Nebraska”:

The rest of the “Deliver Me from Nowhere” cast includes Emmy-winning “Succession” actor Jeremy Strong, who plays Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau.
Emmy nominee Gaby Hoffmann (”Transparent,” “Girls”) plays Adele Springsteen, Springsteen’s mother, in the film (the real Adele was 98 when she died in January — Springsteen’s father died in 1998).
Emmy winner Paul Walter Hauser (”Black Bird,” “Richard Jewell”) plays Mike Batlan, a guitar tech who assisted Springsteen during the making of “Nebraska,” which he recorded in a rented Colts Neck home.

Johnny Cannizzaro (“Jersey Boys”) plays Steven Van Zandt, E Street Band guitarist and Springsteen’s right-hand man.
Wyckoff’s David Krumholtz (“Oppenheimer”) is playing Al Teller, a record executive who worked on “Nebraska.”
Jersey City native Marc Maron (“GLOW,” “To Leslie,” the “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast), who spent part of his childhood in Wayne, is playing Chuck Plotkin, the producer who mastered “Nebraska.”
Harrison Sloan Gilbertson (“Oppenheimer”) plays Springsteen’s friend Matt Delia in the film.
