ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Small Business Saturday is an opportunity to support local businesses in your community.
And there’s one taking place in St. Clairsville.
“This is our annual Small Business Saturday event,” said Lisa Amos, owner/operator, the Melting Pot Marketplace. “We have multiple businesses and restaurants all up and down Main Street that are participating. We’re going to have extended hours.”
The hours vary by business, but the extended hours, specials, giveaways and discounts are meant to encourage shoppers to show their support this weekend.
“It is very important, because in particular my store, it’s not just myself that’s a small business owner, but I have 30-plus vendors in here that are individual small business owners,” Amos said. “And (the support) really makes a difference.”
Amos says you can find the various business hours on Facebook, and they’ll also be open during the St. Clairsville Christmas parade on Dec. 8.
