Laura Gordon (Late Night with the Devil) and Tim Griffin (Grey’s Anatomy) are the latest two actors to join the cast of Amazon MGM Studios’ live-action Voltron movie.
They will star alongside the previously cast Henry Cavill, Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora, John Kim, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Alba Baptista, Samson Kayo, and Tharanya Tharan.There’s still know information regarding the characters that these actors are playing. There are are still no story details to share. Just that this film will focus on a new generation of pilots.
The movie is being directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red Notice, Sky Scraper, and Central Intelligence) from a script he wrote with Ellen Shanman.
When previously talking about the film, Thurber said: “I want to make sure that we stay true to the heart and the spirit of Voltron. In this film, we’re going to be introducing an entirely new generation of pilots.
“We’ve reimagined Voltron for the live-action world, but we’re going to stay true to…those iconic elements that you love, that I love. And I’m so excited to share it with you.”
Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman are producing with Bob Koplar, the head of World Events Productions, the company that controls the Voltron property.
