A Newmains-based business was visited by MSP Clare Adamson to learn more about the company’s efforts to promote sustainable manufacturing.
Precision Windows and Doors is a family-owned manufacturer and installer of double glazing windows and doors operating across Scotland since 2004.
Clare Adamson, MSP for Motherwell and Wishaw, was invited by the owners to visit after lodging a Parliamentary motion marking the company’s 20th anniversary.

Ms Adamson said: “It was wonderful to visit a thriving family-owned local business that has built sustainably into their ethos.
“Precision employs over 100 staff and it places an emphasis on the circular economy.
“For example, Precision takes in old window frames from installations and recycles as much of the material as possible. All the recycled material is kept in house and as much as possible is repurposed into new equipment.
“The site itself was previously derelict but it is now a state-of-the-art factory. Design, production, and disposal all in the one factory.
“It is a fantastic example of the necessary transition to more sustainable practices.
“I was delighted to visit this local business and my thanks to the team at Precision for being such welcoming hosts.”
