UNIVERSITY Concert Hall (UCH) has been awarded the prestigious Limerick Chamber Regional Business Award for Excellence in Customer Experience, recognising the venue’s outstanding commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience for audiences and visitors.
The award was presented by category sponsor Liam Hession of BDO and Chamber President Noel Gavin during the 2024 Limerick Chamber Business Awards, highlights UCH’s dedication to providing world-class service and creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for all attendees.
This recognition comes as a result of UCH’s continuous efforts to enhance the customer journey, from ticket purchase to post-event engagement, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone who steps through its doors. A recent survey indicated that 97 per cent of customers would return, with all performers consistently reporting an outstanding experience with us, demonstrating its effective approach to creating a welcoming environment.

Since its inception, UCH has built a reputation for hosting a diverse array of events, from international musical performances to local community gatherings, comedy, and everything in between. UCH is dedicated to delivering a rich and varied program of events, offering something for every audience across the Mid West region. In the past year alone, the venue has hosted an impressive 260 events, captivating over 140,000 attendees.
Key to the UCH‘s success in customer experience has been its ongoing investment in technology and staff training, as well as its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. Initiatives like the launch of an easy-to-navigate mobile app, enhanced digital ticketing options, the introduction of a new loop system which is now installed in the auditorium to support hearing-impaired customers, a friends membership program, and a robust feedback system have all contributed to improving the overall experience. In addition, UCH’s customer service team, known for their professionalism and friendliness, consistently receives rave reviews from visitors, with a 4.5/5 TripAdvisor rating and 4.7/5 Google rating highlighting the consistently high quality of service provided.
