The Christmas countdown is in full swing, and with the chilly weather and shorter days, it’s the perfect time for a snug movie night.
Disney+ has got you covered with a plethora of festive favourites to enjoy in the run-up to Christmas Day. A host of classic Christmas films have dropped on the streaming platform, along with a slew of new releases, ensuring there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy this holiday season.
Every chapter of the massively loved Home Alone series is now ready to stream on Disney+, making it an ideal choice for family viewing. You can also stream all three instalments of The Santa Claus movies, as well as the Die Hard series. Both smash-hit Frozen films are available on the platform, alongside Disney’s A Christmas Carol and Jingle All The Way.
Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is always a top pick for a festive film, or perhaps you’d prefer The Muppet Christmas Carol. Both versions of Miracle on 34th Street are on Disney+, and you can also catch The Family Stone and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, reports the Manchester Evening News.
This festive season sees the premiere of ‘Nutcrackers’ on Disney+ come 29 November. According to the synopsis: “Just as Mike (Ben Stiller) is on the heels of closing the biggest deal of his career, he’s pulled away from his bachelor life in the big city to a farm in rural Ohio in order to take care of his recently orphaned nephews. Sure to become another family favourite, ‘An Almost Christmas Story’ has already captured hearts after its release on Disney+ on 15 November. In his attempts to escape the bustling city, Moon befriends a lost young girl named Luna.”
