MONTANA – Business registration in Montana has seen a significant increase over the past few months, with 10,000 new businesses being registered. This growth is attributed to recent changes in state policies.
Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen explained that the rise in new businesses is linked to the elimination of red tape and a reduction in filing fees for businesses.
Jacobsen also encouraged businesses to update their information and seek assistance from her office, emphasizing the importance of staying current with regulations.
“But ultimately, in 2024. We’ve had higher than 2023 and eight of the 10 months so far, with two to go and it’s looking like we’re on pace to have another record year of new businesses coming to the state of Montana,” Jacobsen said.
Jacobsen added that with more businesses expected to be created next year, the economic outlook for the Treasure State appears promising.
