Thanks to 23 years in the Cowichan Valley Citizen and, since, online at www.britishcolumbiachronicles.ca, the Cowichan Chronicles have become an institution.
With the release of Cowichan Chronicles, Volume 6, author/historian T.W. Paterson continues his chronology of the Cowichan Valley’s rich and colourful history.
Although T.W.’s website has broadened to include all of British Columbia, the six volumes of Cowichan Chronicles remain true to their Valley roots.
The original ideal was to record and to celebrate the events of the Valley’s past by shining a spotlight on the mostly unsung men and women whose efforts and sacrifices laid the groundwork for the Cowichan Valley that we enjoy today.
Not all of our pioneers were heroic — such is human nature. But, they, too, have a story to tell! And some of those wonderful stories are to be found in Cowichan Chronicles, Volume 6.
T.W. will be signing copies of Volume 6 and other titles (36 books so far!) at the Providence Farm Christmas Craft Show on Saturday, Dec. 7, and at the Girl Guide Hall, Sunday, Dec. 15.
