Local fifth grade illustrators held a special book signing Saturday featuring Merry the Christmas Fairy and the Rowdy Rabbits, an annual Christmas tradition event by The Marshall County Public Library.
The book series for children, written by library director Tammy Blackwell and illustrated by local fifth graders, is now in its sixth installment. It follows Merry the Christmas Fairy, Santa’s librarian, who resides in a magical gingerbread library at the North Pole. Merry teaches children that by opening books around the holidays, they release a bit of magic into the air, which helps Santa’s reindeer fly.
