There is one holiday film that rises to the top of Californians’ searches, and no, it doesn’t involve the Grinch, Kevin McCallister or Buddy the elf.
Instead, it involves miniature, murderous creatures.
“Gremlins” is California’s most Googled Christmas film, according to USDish, an authorized reseller of Dish Network. The 1980s comedy horror set during the holidays follows Gizmo, a new furry pet that ends up spawning gremlins, little creatures with an aggressive streak that wreaks havoc on the town.
But Californians aren’t the only people searching for this flick. Here are all 50 states most searched for Christmas films, according to USDish:
