Bulgaria will participate in the 62nd edition of the International Children’s Book Fair in Bologna. The forum will take place between March 31, 2025 and April 3, 2025, the Bulgarian Association for Culture and Literature said on Thursday.
The pavilion, entitled Bulgarian Books for Kids, will showcase a selection of the latest Bulgarian children’s books published in 2024, as well as emblematic editions. A second representative exhibition of Bulgarian illustrators is also being prepared with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
The Bologna Book Fair is attended by nearly 32,000 people and is a global forum for professional meetings of publishers with their foreign partners, says Elena Georgieva, organizer of the event and project manager at the Association for Culture and Literature.
Anyone with a professional interest in the Bologna Book Fair can use the pavilion, and send suggestions for events and books to be featured in the Bulgarian Books for Kids space.
In 2024, Bulgaria was represented with a selection of children’s books published in the past decade, award-winning titles and old classics.
