Drivers on the M25 have been told to expect delays after a crash on Friday afternoon.
A closure has been imposed between J16 and J17 clockwise and is expected to be in place until 5pm.
This comes as many Brits up and down the country are traveling ahead of the Christmas period.
The AA issued multiple amber traffic warnings, revealing that a record 23.7 million drivers were expected to make journeys today.
Elsewhere, queues are expected on the M2 between its junction with the M25 and the south coast, and the M25 anticlockwise between its junctions with the M1 and M23.
