More than 30 locations are closing across the Commonwealth, including 10 in the Hampton Roads region alone.
NORFOLK, Va. — Big deals are headed to Big Lots, as the company prepares to close nearly 1,000 stores across the U.S.
The company has already closed more than 400 stores this year after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September. The company plans to hold a “going out of business” sale.
Big Lots, which mostly sells furniture, home décor and other items, previously said high inflation and interest rates have hurt its business.
There are 33 Big Lots locations in Virginia, which are all set to close unless the company’s plans change.
