Conor McGregor has been helping Sheikh Turki Alalshikh in very subtle yet smart ways. The former UFC double champion has been seen promoting the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on his social media pages. Needless to say, the Irishman’s involvement has enhanced the excitement around the rematch. But did you know that ‘The Notorious’ also found a way to bring his business into the conversation?
The Irish mixed martial artist’s restaurant, The Black Forge Inn, recently declared that they would put Usyk vs. Fury 2 on the screens as the two boxers go up against each other on the 21st of December. The officials posted the news on Instagram, sharing a still from the previous fight, and wrote in the caption, “Tomorrow Night Live At The Black Forge Inn.” Soon after, the former UFC champ-champ took to his Instagram stories to share the big news. He wrote, “Big fight at The Forge! See you there.”
No doubt, it seems like a win-win situation for the Irishman. By putting up the fight in his restaurant, he would certainly boost his $6+ million business on the fight night. On top of that, he would come under the good graces of the celebrated Saudi Arabian adviser at the Royal Court. Well, this move was as smart as it could get, don’t you agree?

Replying to a fan, McGregor also pointed out that he absolutely loved the previous match between Usyk and Fury, even though it was covered in quite a bit of trouble. He quoted, “What a bout! What an absolute bout! I thought Usyk boxed incredibly. And Tyson is such a big formidable opponent. Rematch would be interesting.” ‘The Notorious’ was pretty impressed with the kind of performance the Ukrainian fighter displayed back in May 2024. The Irishman went on, “I felt every shot Usyk threw hit the flesh, hit the body, hit the head, the crown, hit everything. Whereas Fury’s shots hit more guard. They hit the guard or there were slight blocks.”
While McGregor might not be visiting Saudi Arabia to watch the fight, he wouldn’t give up on the action-packed battle. With his presence at The Black Forge Inn, the Irish fighter will certainly enjoy his time watching the fight live along with his family, friends, and fans.
