LAHORE:A delegation of industrialists, led by Mian Tariq Nisar, called on Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain at his office in the Industry Department on Friday.
During the meeting, the delegation announced increasing their investments in Punjab and set up a new factory at the Quaid-i-Azam Business Park Sheikhupura for manufacturing synthetic leather, PVC sheets, and factory materials.
Speaking on the occasion, Shafay Hussain said that he is pleased to see that the group has chosen Punjab for establishing a new factory. The government will provide all possible support for setting up the factory at Quaid-i-Azam Business Park. The process of land allocation for the new factory will be completed within a month, he added.
He said promoting investment and accelerating industrialisation across the province is his mission. He shared that the recent visit to China yielded encouraging results. ‘Over 60 company representatives participated in the Punjab Investment Conference held in China, and several of them expressed their interest in investing in Punjab. Soon, significant investments from Chinese companies will flow into Punjab. The government is also actively encouraging local investors,’ he concluded. The delegation included Mian Tariq Nisar, director of companies, Nadeem Nisar, Saqib Raza, Director of Faysal Bank Mohsin Tariq, and others.
