Allu Arjun‘s action-packed entertainer ‘Pushpa 2’ has not exactly ‘entertained’ the Kerala audiences and the same is visible in the KBO collections.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Pushpa 2’ has only managed to collect Rs 2 lakhs from the Kerala box on day 18, and the total KBO collections for the film in 18 days amount to hardly Rs 14 crores, which is low because the actor has a majority number of fans in the state.
The Allu Arjun starrer had an opening KBO weekend collection of Rs 12.4 crores and on weekend 2 the movie saw a sudden and drastic drop to Rs 1.57 crores, clearly indicating that the Kerala audiences were not satisfied with the movie. While the film is making big bucks in Hindi and Telugu regions, the story is different in Kerala, as the audiences are more into films with good and strong content.
Meanwhile, ‘Pushpa 2’ has collected Rs 1030.38 crore from India in 18 days, and from Telugu the movie has collected Rs 302.35 crore, and from Hindi regions, the film minted Rs 652.9 crores. Coming to the Tamil Nadu collections, the action thriller has minted Rs 53.4 crores and from Karnataka region the movie has grossed Rs 7.24 crores.
ETimes review for ‘Pushpa 2’ is highly positive with 3.5 stars out of 5. We reviewed the film as ‘Allu Arjun’s brilliance meets Sukumar’s genius’ and our review reads, “Though the film has its flaws—like, a not-so-strong story and over-the-top action sequences—its smart screenplay, brilliant performances, and top-notch production values overshadow these drawbacks. Pushpa 2: The Rule is a sequel that surpasses its predecessor in scale, storytelling, and emotional depth. Sukumar’s vision, combined with Allu Arjun’s powerhouse performance, layered narrative, breathtaking visuals, and stellar ensemble cast, makes it a cinematic triumph that demands to be experienced on the big screen.”
