The RCMP say they arrested a man after someone stole more than $1,500 worth of power tools from a business in Stratford, P.E.I.
On Dec. 18, the RCMP received a complaint from a Stratford business about the theft.
The RCMP said that on Dec. 20, Queens District RCMP with help from the major crime unit and the provincial general investigation section, officers arrest a 31-year-old man in Cornwall for possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime in connection with the alleged theft.
In the process of the arrest, the police seized stolen power tools and small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine, the RCMP said.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 3.
