Aamir Khan is known as ‘Mr Perfectionist’ of Bollywood. The superstar has given some big blockbusters at the box office. However, some of his movies also terribly failed to earn good numbers. In 2022, Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t perform well despite getting lots of positive reviews. It was his big flop after the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan. However, Khan regrets working on one of the movies and it is neither of these two.
Aamir Khan regrets doing THIS movie
One may believe that Aamir Khan must be regretting doing Laal Singh Chaddha or Thugs of Hindostan considering they were flops. But that’s not the case. The movie he regrets doing is Mela. Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, the 2001 film also stars Twinkle Khanna and Faisal Khan. The film was a big flop at the box office. As reported by several entertainment news portals, Aamir called it one of the biggest mistakes of his film career.
A report by NDTV mentioned that Aamir once said that he didn’t want Mela to be the way it was made and also had disagreements with director Dharmesh Darshan. He was so upset that he refused to film for some days. Even after the release, the actor was quite disappointed. The report also mentions that after the film flopped at the box office, Aamir vowed to never work with Dharmesh. It also marked Twinkle Khanna’s last movie as an actor.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan will be next seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, it also stars Genelia Dsouza and will release this year. Aamir reportedly has cameos in two movies this year: Coolie and Lahore 1947.
