KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The City of Fountains has been named the fourth top U.S. travel destination by Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best for 2025 rankings.
Visit KC announced on Friday, Jan. 10, that Kansas City has been named in Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards Best of the Best for 2025. The metro ranked No. 4 in the top trending destinations in the U.S.
The organization noted that this is the highest level of Tripadvisor’s awards as the Best of the Best winners are among the top 1% of listings worldwide.
“As the chief sales and marketing organization for the region, we at Visit KC are not surprised to see Kansas City towards the top of this list. We have seen our city become a premier travel destination appealing to all travelers,” said Brett Oetting, Visit KC’s chief operating officer.
As the passion for the city grows, organization leaders indicated that Kansas City continues to welcome record-breaking numbers of visitors yearly. Tourism continues to support the local community as it contributes millions in tax revenues to the city government for essential services like transportation, education and more.
“Kansas City is a must-visit destination with an outstanding reputation for great experiences for all. Our growth is a testament to our Kansas City community and our KC pride,” said Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas. “With all eyes on Kansas City, as we prepare for major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, I look forward to our city continuing to be the center of attention in the heart of America.”
