CES 2025 Tech Trends Report: $537B Revenue This Year
The technology market for 2025 looks quite healthy, based on the Tech Trends Forecast report presented at the official start of CES on Sunday.
The forecast by CES organizer Consumer Technology Association (CTA), presented by Brian Comiskey, senior director, innovation and trends, and Melissa Harrison, vice president marketing and communications at the CTA, showed 2025 industry retail revenue projected at $537 billion, an increase from $520 billion in 2024.
Of that, $353 is hardware and $184 billion is software.
The trends report highlighted the growth of artificial intelligence in all aspects of technology.

Nvidia is rolling out AI-powered technology that could transform self-driving cars, robotics and digital manufacturing, CEO Jensen Huang announced in a keynote at CES 2025.
Saying that AI has been advancing at an incredible pace, Huang suggested AI is now entering a new era with a direct real-world impact.
“It started with perception AI — understanding images, words and sounds. Then generative AI — creating text, images and sound,” Huang said, before adding that we’re now entering the era of “physical AI, AI that can proceed, reason, plan and act.”

Bosch Tech Compass Report Released at CES 2025; Focus on AI Skills
Bosch, the engineering and technology multinational, has released its Tech Compass 2025 report at CES 2025, taking place this week in Las Vegas. The theme of this year’s report, the fourth in the series, is public perceptions of technology and attitudes toward AI and whether people are ready for it.
Bosch surveyed 11,000 people from seven countries for the report: Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. It highlights regional differences in AI acceptance, with China and India showing more positive views and the growing importance of AI skills.

AI Hotel Planned for Las Vegas: CES 2025
A new, AI-driven hotel is getting set to open in Las Vegas, highlighted by a major presence at CES.
Philippe Ziade, CEO and founder of Growth Holdings, developer of the hotel, detailed the concept as we sat at the CES Otonomus booth display to discuss the venture.
“This is the first truly AI-powered hotel,” said Ziade. “The whole floor is interconnected.”
The 300-room hotel is a mix of apartments and hotel rooms, with 60% dedicated to hotel guests and 40% to apartments.
