The new year brings new business growth, and Abilene is definitely growing, according to the Texas Comptroller’s Office.
As per the Texas Tax Code, the owners of businesses that sell taxable products or services must report sales taxes to the Texas comptroller.
The Comptroller’s Office is responsible for collecting taxes and fees owed to the state and managing the state’s finances and spending.
By law, the agency is required to make business information available to the public, which includes new and active taxpayers.
The active taxpayer database is updated regularly and the public can view businesses that have newly filed or refiled permits to sell in the state.
Here is a list of new businesses that have filed with the Texas Comptroller, are located in the Abilene area and will start operations soon. According to the database updated on Jan. 4, these businesses filed their first sales date on or after Jan. 1.
