When it comes to famous actors, it’s fair to say Ryan Gosling is up there with a lot of people’s favourites.
After all, he swept us off our feet in The Notebook, broke our hearts in La La Land and kept us more than entertained in Barbie. But it seems a lot of people can’t remember one of his earliest roles.
Several videos have emerged on TikTok of fans saying they were blown away to discover he was in an iconic film back in the noughties.
At the time, he played Alan Bosley in Remember The Titans, but people seem to have forgotten all about it. The movie tells the story of a high school football team in Alexandria, Virginia, that is forced to integrate in 1971.
The film is actually based on a true story and works to show how sports can help people to overcome prejudice and work together to build something new.

Since videos have remerged of Gosling in the role of Alan, fans have been left totally stunned. The clips have been drawing in thousands of views online, with some admitting to have never even seen the movie before.
One person said: “Why did I not know Ryan Gosling was this guy in Remember the Titans?” Another replied: “Finally, someone who likes Remember the Titans.”
A third wrote: “Oh my gosh. That’s actually crazy because I watched this movie in school and always thought he was cute.”
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “I was today years old when I found out Ryan Gosling was in this movie.”

Gosling, now 44, looks super young when you look back at clips of the movie. He bagged the role after starring in “Young Hercules” and “Breaker High” in the late ’90s.
It was a time when he was really starting to make his mark as a young actor. Until appearing in Remember the Titans, Gosling mostly only had guest spots, recurring roles or starring roles in TV series or TV movies.
Remember the Titans was the second role he landed in a feature film, apart from 1996’s “Frankenstein and Me”. His character, Alan Bosley, was one of the white students from the pre-integrated T.C. Williams High School.
