What’s the plot of Bad Genius?
The movie Bad Genius delves into the story of a talented student named Lynn, who excels in her studies and has received prestigious scholarships, and comes up with a cunning and sneaky plan to assist her friends in achieving top scores on their exams. This secret operation, initially small-scale, gradually grows in scope and complexity as more students get involved.
However, as this network flourishes, the mastermind student finds herself entangled in a high-pressure situation that challenges her ethical principles. The new conflict forces her to confront the values of the American education system, ultimately leading her to a moral dilemma where she must choose between being loyal to her friends and upholding integrity.
Benedict Wong’s experience of working on Bad Genius
Back in October 2024, actor Benedict Wong and director J.C. Lee shared lots of insights about their movie, Bad Genius, with Screen Rant. For the unversed, Wong played the father of the genius student, Lynn.
When Wong was asked if he had ever watched the original Thai movie, the 53-year-old actor stated that he did not get time, and he still has not even after Bad Genius release. The most important thing for him is to have faith in the script that J.C. had written, and not to kind of insert the same original story. He just wanted to see the bare bones of this proud father who wants to give his daughter more opportunities than he has ever had.
