Ram Charan’s latest film, director S.Shankar’s Game Changer took a flying start at the box office. But the film witnessed a drop on its second day. The pan-India movie was released in cinemas on January 10, and on Saturday, January 11, the movie saw a big fall in the collection.
The early estimates of Game Changer Day 2 are shared by Sacnilk. As per the portal, on Saturday, the film earned Rs 21.50 crore in India, which includes Rs 12.70 crore from Telugu, Rs 7 crore from Hindi, Rs 1.7 crore from Tamil, and 10 lakh from Malayalam languages. On the first day, the film saw a decline of more than 50%. On its first day, Game Changer earned Rs 51 crore in India, including Rs 41.25 crore from Telugu, Rs 7.50 crore from Hindi, Rs 2.12 crore from Tamil, and Rs 10 lakh from Kannada, and Rs 3 lakh from Malayalam languages.
Till now, the film has earned Rs 72.50 crore in India, and the figures are expected to touch the Rs 75 crore mark in two days. On Saturday morning, the makers announced that the film had grossed more than Rs 180 crores worldwide on it’s first day.
The makers of Game Changer issued a statement about the same and explained that the song NaaNaa Hyraanaa couldn’t make it up to the final cut because of technical difficulties. NaaNaa Hyraanaa is said to be the first Indian number to be shot on camera with an infrared lens, which captures light visible beyond the light spectrum, revealing a world normally not visible to us, thus making it a visual curiosity.
The statement issued on the official X page of Game Changer reads, “Everyone’s favorite, #NaanaaHyraanaa | #Lyraanaa | #JaanaHairaanSa from #GameChanger has been edited out due to technical challenges encountered during the processing of infrared images in the initial prints. Rest assured, we are diligently working towards adding the song back in the missing content, which will be available starting January 14th.”
