He pointed out that 60% of the tourists in Egypt participated in the event.
In statements to Egyptian Channel 1 on Saturday, Abdel Ma’boud said that the date of Egypt’s international marathon was announced a year ahead for booking.
The marathon held on Friday witnessed the participation of 75 tourist delegations from China, Japan, Sweden, US, France, Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Bahrain, he said.
The 32nd Egyptian Marathon was launched in Luxor under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Egyptian Tourism Authority.
More than 200 runners from different countries of the world took part in the vent.
