The Annual Business Conference – 2025 of Mercantile Bank was held at the Le Meridien hotel today (Saturday, January 11, 2025).
The heads of the 152 branches and 45 Upashakhas, Deputy Managing Directors, all Head of Divisions and Regional Heads participated in the business conference.
Md. Anwarul Haque, Chairman of the Board of Directors was the chief guest while Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan presided over the program.
Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun) Vice Chairman, M. A. Khan Belal, Chairman, Executive Committee, Mohammad Abdul Awal, Chairman, Risk Management Committee, A. S. M. Feroz Alam, Director, Mercantile Bank PLC. & Chairman, Mercantile Bank Securities Limited, M. Amanullah, Director, Mercantile Bank PLC. & Chairman, Mercantile Exchange House (UK) Limited, Al-Haj Mosharref Hossain, Director and CFO Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD took part in the conference.
Md. Zakir Hossain, Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha & Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain, DMDs were also present with other senior executives and officers of the bank.
The bank’s Chairman Md. Anwarul Haque thanked the heads of branches, upashakhas and divisions for their sincere efforts to attain the organizational goals.
He also stated that the banking sector took the lead to keep country’s economic stability despite having challenges emanating from recent political situations and worldwide economic downswing.
On the other hand, the bank’s MD emphasized the participating officials with significant guidelines for achieving the Annual Business Targets of 2025.
He also urged the concerned officials to pay attention to agriculture and SME loan to ensure food security of the country and sustainability of the rural economy.
At the same time, the MD called on his subordinates to enrich the customer services and ensure smart banking with innovation & transformation.
