“While others search for what they can take, a true king searches for what he can give.” This is just one of the top dialogues from ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ which even after 23 days of its release is echoing in the theatres, as the movie continues to keep the audience glued to the edges of their seats. The movie entered into week 4, and though on Friday it made only 54 lakhs, according to the early estimates of Sacnilk, on Saturday the movie was able to earn Rs. 1.37 crore across all languages in India. The total earnings of the movie so far have been Rs.129.56 crore.
It is worth noting that ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ had a rather average start, but released over the holiday weekend, the movie was able to draw the audience to the theatres. The Hindi dubbed version, voiced by none other than Shah Rukh Khan and his two sons AbRam and Aryan, worked in the favor of the film’s performance in India. The movie generated approximately Rs 66.15 crore during its opening week and subsequently earned Rs 45.9 crore in the second week. By the conclusion of the third week, the film’s box office collection was Rs 15.6 crore, bringing its total net earnings to about Rs 129.56 crore.
