Paging all readers! Make sure you get down to Wollongong Library now as the Summer Book Sale is back.
From today, Monday 13 January, the book sale is offering a collection of adult, young adult and junior books, magazines and more for purchase. All books available are priced at $0.50 each.
Each purchase will help rehome some of our city’s pre-loved books as well as supporting the Friends of Wollongong City Libraries . They are raising funds for literacy programs that make a real difference in our community.
The sale will run until Saturday 25 January, with the library team restocking the pile regularly.
“The Summer Book Sale is a wonderful way to start the year, especially for those who’ve set a reading goal for 2025,” Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Tania Brown said.
“We want our books to continue their story outside of our libraries, so we encourage our community to come down and pick up a book, or two, for a bargain price.
“You don’t want to miss this opportunity as there is an abundance of books to discover. Whether you enjoy an autobiography, getting swept away in a romance, or learning something new, there’ll be a hidden gem waiting for you to read.
“While you’re here, be sure to check out and borrow from our wonderful collection. It includes best new releases, books in languages other than English, fresh new magazines and so much more. All you have to do is become a library member for free.”
Purchases can be made by cash or card at the library customer service counter.
