Game Changer is the much-awaited political thriller helmed by Shankar and it stars Ram Charan in double roles of a father and son, alongside Kiara Advani, Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, and Jayaram in important roles. The film had an amazing opening in India and collected Rs 51 crore on its first day. The movie witnessed a drop of more than 50% and earned Rs 21.60 crore on Saturday and as per the early estimates from the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 16.33 crore on its third day, i.e. Sunday. Ram Charan starrer collected close to Rs 90 crore in its opening week.

Moreover, the film has crossed the lifetime domestic earnings of Shankar’s previous film Indian 2 headlined by Kamal Haasan. Yes, you read that right. Indian 2 which is a action thriller earned Rs 82 crore net in India and grossed Rs 148 crore worldwide. It was made on a budget of Rs 250 crore and was reportedly declared one of the biggest flops in Tamil cinema.
Game Changer has earned Rs 108 crore gross in its first two days and the film has been produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film will face competition from Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer action thriller Daaku Maharaaj which released on January 12. The film has collected Rs 21 crore on its opening day, as per the early estimates.
Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John which had released on Christmas witnessed a mediocre opening and earned Rs 12.5 crore at the box office on its first day. The film is produced by Atlee and directed by Kalees.
