LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) – A 17-year-old in Lufkin girl has created community book boxes, places where people can pick up or drop off books for free.
Abigail Miranda started the project to earn her Stars and Stripes Award for American Heritage Girls. The book boxes are currently at four Lufkin locations: Heritage Coffee Company on Denman Avenue, First Street Wireless on First Street, Pure Beauty Company on West Shepard Avenue and the Christian Community Service Center on South Angelina Street.
