Tech startups will be presenting their pitches in Albufeira to international investors
Twelve technology startups from around the globe will gather in Albufeira on January 30 to pitch their innovative projects to a panel of international investors, with the goal of securing up to €300,000 in funding.

The twelve finalist startups, hailing from Portugal, the United States, Canada, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, were selected from a pool of nearly 400 applicants worldwide.
Giving these tech startups a chance to “transform” into “high-value companies” by offering them “free access to valuable resources” is the goal of the event, said Jorge Cabaço, Dengun’s head of marketing, in an interview with Lusa news agency.
“After six weeks of mentorship and workshops, these visionary founders are ready to pitch their groundbreaking ideas to international investors and mentors,” Dengun adds in a post on its social media pages.
The Dengun Founders Program is open to entrepreneurs worldwide, regardless of the stage of their project, and covers sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, among others. Additionally, participants receive three months of free office space in the Algarve, integrating them into a dynamic ecosystem of innovation.
The scheme also helps entrepreneurs secure a European Union visa and is backed by partnerships with regional institutions such as the University of the Algarve.
