An Irish casting agency has put out the call for a 0 to 3-month-old baby to star alongside acting icon Liam Neeson – who recently revealed the iconic character he would love to play – in 4 Kids Walk into a Bank. The Academy Award nominee is currently filming the movie, which is a dark comedy directed by Frankie Shaw, in Co Limerick.
Alongside Neeson, who recently described his former girlfriend, Helen Mirren, in two words, the movie will feature Talia Ryder, Noah Jupe, Whitney Peak, and Jack Dylan Grazer. Neeson, who recently outlined a health condition he suffers from, will portray Danny, a retired bank robber whose teenage granddaughter, Paige, is everything to him.
When Paige overhears that his old gang is forcing him into one last heist to settle a debt, she comes up with the only plan she can think of: she recruits her three loyal best friends to rob the bank a day earlier so he won’t have to.
The paid part, advertised by Celtic Casting, offers the chance to feature in a ‘high end’ movie. The advertisement reads: “CASTING CALL! For high-end feature film 4 Kids Walk into a Bank. Baby aged 0-3 months,” reports Limerick Leader.
“Location: Limerick, Shoot date: Wednesday, January 15. PAID WORK. To apply, please email a photo, name and details to [email protected].”
Meanwhile, the award-winning 1996 film Michael Collins – rated by many as among Neeson’s best movies – is now available to watch online for free, a welcome change from the usual routine of logging into Netflix or searching through TV recordings. In an era dominated by streaming apps and subscription services, Warner Bros has generously uploaded the dramatic biopic directly to their YouTube channel, providing straightforward access to the film.
The blockbuster tells the tale of Collins’ fight for Irish independence, beginning with his role in the 1916 Easter Rising and culminating with a reenactment of his death in 1922 at Béal na Bláth in West Cork. Neeson stars as the Big Fella – whose death is commemorated in Ireland – alongside Julia Roberts as Collins’ fiancée Kitty and Alan Rickman as Éamon de Valera.
The film can be viewed for free on the Warner Bros YouTube channel. There had been plans in Hollywood for a movie about Collins for years, with Gabriel Byrne once tipped to star as the man himself.
