The Turkmen State Publishing Service has released another batch of new books for higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
Among them is the book “Fundamentals of Advertising”, the author of which is the senior lecturer of the Department of Journalism of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, Honored Journalist of Turkmenistan Agamyrat Mammedov.
The new book reveals the essence of advertising, which is one of the important areas of activity of the media. The book contains detailed information about the structure of the advertising genre and its features, also provides a description, considers the meaning and role of advertising, its types and means.
The publication is prepared on the basis of international experience in teaching journalism, Internet materials, and scientific works of turkmen authors. Based on this, the book will allow students to gain knowledge aimed at developing skills for working in advertising departments of modern mass media.
The book is intended for students majoring in journalism and teachers of specialized departments, as well as employees of newspaper, magazine, television and radio editorial offices. In addition, specialists interested in advertising activities will be able to obtain useful information from this book.
Another new book, “Mulberry Tree Selection” is intended for students, postgraduates, and teachers of agricultural universities in Turkmenistan, as well as researchers and specialists in the agricultural sector.
The book examines the origin, development, current level, main directions and features of mulberry tree selection, as well as its varieties and source materials for selection. The textbook describes modern methods of pollination, polyploidy, artificial mutagenesis, as well as breeding new varieties and creating heterotic hybrids. The book tells about the organization of selection work, tools for evaluating selection resources, the procedure for conducting state testing of new varieties and hybrids, their introduction into agricultural production.
The book was prepared taking into account the objectives set in the National Program of Turkmenistan’s socioeconomic development in the period 2022-2052, in particular, to increase the production of high-quality silk, develop breeding work, and expand the area under cultivation for growing mulberry trees, the leaves of which are the only source of food for silkworms.
